FRANKLIN HENRY WARD SOUTHWEST HARBOR Franklin Henry Ward, 82, died March 20, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Tremont, the son of Franklin D. and Cora (Hamblen) Ward. Franklin served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was employed by Henry R. Hinckley Inc. for 36 years. Franklin was a 50-year member of Tremont Masonic Lodge and a member of American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Driscilla (Gott) Ward; three sons, William L. Ward of Dexter, Martin A. Ward and wife, Donna, of Rockport, and Gordon J. Ward of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Franklin was predeceased by a son, Rodney F. Ward.
