ELLSWORTH and TEXAS Franklin M. Conary, 84, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 18, 2008, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born Feb. 15, 1925, in Ellsworth, the son of Thurston and Ella Conary. He graduated from Ells-worth High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army, retiring after 20 years. Franklin then went on to college in Auburn, Ala., graduating with a degree in education. He taught in many colleges. He is survived by two sons, Jon Conary and wife, Lisa, of Maryland and Brian Conary and his wife of Alabama; daughter, Joanna Conary of Alabama; and two sisters, Doris Moon and husband, George, of Hancock and Viola Hidgon of South Carolina. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Aug. 4 at Woodbine Cemetery. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
