SOLON and BANGOR – Franklin Walter Leeman, 79, formerly of Bangor, died Jan. 11, 2006, at his home in Solon. He was born Sept. 25, 1926, in Bangor, the son of Bernard Clifford and Mabel Florence (Wilson) Leeman. Franklin was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He is survived by the mother of his children, Jeanette Leeman; his son, Terrance Gordon and his wife, Beth, of Centerville, Mass.; and his daughter, Valarie Leeman of Bangor; three granddaughters, Dommonique, Danielle and Elon; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold B. Leeman and his wife, Nina, of Bangor; nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a very special friend and caregiver, Scottie Partridge and her children, Rusty and Bonnie Partridge, all of Solon. He was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn M. Thornton and Bernice L. Kelley. A graveside service for the family only will be held in the spring at the Calais Cemetery, Calais.
