PALMYRA – Frederick J. Temple, 82, died March 26, 2008, at his residence. He was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Etna, a son of Floriman and Madeline (Scoville) Temple. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Fred was a custodian for SAD 48, retiring is 1989 and was a member of Pittsfield Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esther of Palmyra; two sons, James and wife, Anna Temple, of Casco, and Paul E. Temple of Lewiston; two daughters, Thelma and husband, Steve Low, of Rumford, and Cynthia Welch of Dixfield; a brother, Gene and wife, Dianna Temple, of Detroit; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Everett, Richard, Rodney and Donald Temple; and three sisters, Kathleen, Agnes and Marian. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at Pittsfield Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Robert Herring officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until time of services.
