INDIAN TOWNSHIP and PRINCETON – Fredrick G. Apt Jr. passed away peacefully Sept. 2, 2006, with his wife, Reta, at his side, after a long battle with cancer. Fred was born Jan. 17, 1953, in Eastport. Fred enjoyed fishing, beach combing, woodcarving and loved ice cream. Surviving are his wife, Reta (Towns) Apt; two sons, Fredrick G. Apt III and his fiance, Jenn Owens and Jamie R. Apt and his fiance, Jess Owens, all of Princeton; four grandchildren, Elleka, Sarah, Tracy and Tyler; his mother, Christina (Joseph) Taylor of Eastport; his brother, Daniel “Russ” Tomah and his wife, Sandra Apt, of Princeton; three sisters, Donna Dority of Florida, Frances Howard and her husband, Elmer, of Old Town and Chris Libbey of Acton; nine nieces, Sherry, Trina, Tiffany, Kelly, Jenny, Danielle, Megan, Jacie and Elleana; 11 nephews, Wayne, Allen, Aaron, Ostin, Charlie, Nathan, Jon, J.J., Matthew, Brendon and Cooper. He was predeceased by his father, Fredrick G. Apt Sr.; and a nephew, Conrad. He will be truly missed by all family and friends. Church services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Peter Dana Point with Deacon George Stevens officiating.
