GLENBURN – Harriet B. Tozier-Martin, 65, wife of Murchie D. Martin, died unexpectedly Aug. 31, 2006, at her home. She was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Bangor, the daughter of Thomas and Marjorie Carter. Harriet worked as a waitress in the Bangor area for several years and was an avid bowler for 30 years, winning many awards and tournaments. She was a longtime active member of the Hudson Grange No. 457 and she and her husband were members of several senior citizen groups. They also volunteered for the Samaritan Inc. food program. She is survived by her husband of Glenburn; one son, Randy Tozier and his wife, Tammy, of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, Gregory, Matthew, Katherine and Philip; two stepchildren, Marty White of Holden and Murchie Martin of Bangor; two step grandchildren, Murchie and Tiffany; one stepbrother, Raymond Carpenter of Bucksport. She was predeceased by her parents; and former husband, Edward Tozier. Family friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, with the Rev. Gregory DuBois, pastor of the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church, presiding. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn.
