EASTPORT – Fredrick Trott, 85, died Dec. 28, 2004, at a Calais hospital following a short illness. He was born Dec. 15, 1919, in Eastport, the son of Ephrim and Jesse (Dailey) Trott. Fred served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and is a lifetime member of the American Legion Fred Mitchell Post No. 11. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Shirley Trott Jan. 15, 1993. He is survived by his daughter, Marguerite Trott of Eastport; one grandson, Alfred Trott of Eastport; adopted son, Lee Trott and his son, Lee, of Lubec; stepdaughter, Debra Moores of Lubec; one sister, Kathy Bragan and her husband of Robbinston; one brother, Raymond Trott of Bragdon Ohio; many nieces nephews, one special nephew, Theodore “Ted” Trott; and a special niece, Ruth Malloch. Graveside memorial services will be held in the spring. Donations in his memory may be made to the Fred Mitchell Post No. 11 of the American Legion, care of Jim Limewood, 62 Key St., Eastport, ME 04631.
