LAMOINE – Gail Marie Fowler, 47, died July 21, 2005, at a Mount Desert hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1957, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Robert W. and Wilda (Pomroy) Higgins. Gail enjoyed traveling, lying in the sun and visiting Marlboro Beach, “a special place”. She enjoyed helping her mother with the garden and taking care of her siblings. Gail enjoyed playing softball, family reunions and being with her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Wilda Higgins; and her beloved husband of 25 years, Joseph, both of Lamoine; daughter, Brandi Marie Higgins of Ellsworth; stepdaughter, Jennifer Lynn Fowler of Utah; stepson, Jeremy W. Fowler of Florida; brothers, Robert W., William B., and Gary L., all of Lamoine, Richard O. of Bass Harbor, Steven C. and Malcolm W., both of Surry, and Michael A. of Syracuse, N.Y.; sisters, Lyla B. Crawford and Sharon V. Davis, both of Lamoine, Brenda W. Wiedmeyer of Wisconsin, Cheryl G. Higgins of Ellsworth, and Debra E. Innes of Bar Harbor; special friend, Wilbur York of Surry; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Weston Higgins; and brother, Raymond I. Gatcomb.
