ORONO – Gale E. Miller, 69, went to be with the Lord, Nov. 12, 2007, at Orono Commons, after a long illness. He was born June 8, 1938, in Houlton, the son of LeRoy and Luella (Foster) Miller. Gale’s passion was playing country music, which he did for 28 years, playing from Maine to Florida. His last band was The Good Ole Boys. Gale was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife of 35 years, Shirley (McNally) Miller, he is survived by two daughters, Margo Miller, her husband, Philip Stout; grandchildren, Stephanie and Jordan of Oklahoma City; and Gayle Miller and her fianc?, Tony Somers, grandchildren, Shane – his special little sidekick, Kayla and Parker of Old Town; stepson, Richard Carr of Florida; his brother, Mark “Guitar” Miller – an accomplished guitar player; and his sister, Deanne Smith and husband, Donnie, all of East Millinocket. Special thanks to nurses Aissata Ba and LaWanda Tanner. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home with the Rev. Regginal Adams officiating. Interment will be at East Millinocket Cemetery.
