MONTICELLO – Garfield A. McNinch, 81, died Nov. 23, 2004, at local hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1923, at Bridgewater, the son of Harrison and Ella Faye (Kinney) McNinch. “Bucky” was a proud member of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was a life-long long-haul truck driver working for MPG, Orin Gentle and Double D Trucking. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, mowing his lawn and watching NASCAR. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Caroline (Codrey) McNinch of Monticello; seven children, Catherine Green and her husband, Allen, of Monticello, Vickie Pratt of Saco, Karen Brewer and her husband, Judson, of Monticello, Kellie McNinch of Saco, Daniel McNinch of Monticello, Robert McNinch of Old Orchard Beach, Allen McNinch and his wife, Tina, of Monticello; 15 grandchildren, Jammie, Aaron, Samantha, Brandi, Jacob, Cassie, Shannon, Travis, Krystal, Jessica, Jeremy, Michael, Chesley, Erica and Jordan; three great-grandchildren, Thomas, Gabriel and Nathanial; one brother, Raymond McNinch and his wife, Pat, of Brewer; one sister, Sheila Everett of Upper Kent, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Reggie and Cecil; a sister, Dorothy and a great-granddaughter, Shilyn. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, at the Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Monticello Calvary Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Dawson Sawler officiating. Interment will be in the Jewell Cemetery.
