MARS HILL – Garry L. Garrison, 72, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at a Ban-gor hospital. He was born Oct. 31, 1935, in Mars Hill, the son of Glen and Elva (York) Garrison. Garry graduated from A.C.I. and then spent 20 years serving his country in the U.S. Army, with two tours in Vietnam. After his military retirement he worked 20 years for TAMC in maintenance. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family, whom he dearly loved. Garry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bonnie (McGraw) Garrison; five children, Cindy Kilcollins of Mars Hill, Stephen Garrison and his wife, Kelly, of Mars Hill, Aaron Garrison and his wife, Kelly, of Mapleton, Wayne Garrison and his wife, Sally, of Mars Hill and Tammy Buckley and her husband, Robert, of Mapleton, 20 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Dale Garrison; and a sister, Elaine Colby. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, with the Rev. Richard Bell officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service.
