BAR HARBOR – Gary Arnold Parsons, 65, died unexpectedly June 2, 2006, at his home. He was born Feb. 17, 1941, in Bar Harbor, the son of John E. and Annie (Higgins) Parsons. Gary was a great husband, father and grandfather. He was a well-known lobster fisherman for 45 years. Gary enjoyed golf, his grandsons’ baseball games, and he loved playing Poker with his buddies. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. Parsons; one son, Donald Parsons and his significant other, Kim Hamblen; two daughters, Brenda Britt and partner, Tracey Landry and Deborah Parsons and her significant other, Timmy Tripp; three brothers, Harland Parsons, James Parsons and wife, Winifred and Harry Parsons and Annie, all of Bar Harbor; six grandchildren, Travis Tripp, Benjamin Britt, Makayla, Marcus, Race and Marina Parsons; several nieces and nephews; his special friend, Lobo Pinkham; and favorite canine companion, Lady. Gary was predeceased by his first wife, Mary; and a son, Mark. Friends are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 5, at Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Saviours Episcopal Church, Bar Harbor with the Rev. Wayne Buchanan officiating. Interment will be at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor.
