LITTLETON – Gary Leigh Wilson, 62, entered internal peace Aug. 7, 2005. He was born Jan. 22, 1943, at Hodgdon, the son of Waldo “Pert” and the late Patrea (Haney) Wilson. Gary was a graduate of Hodgdon High School, Class of 1961. He began farming in Hodgdon and later moved to the Ross Ridge Road in Littleton, where he continually expanded his farm and developed a trucking business. Farming and trucking were both his passions. He always had a great joking charm that touched everyone he met. He was manager of Greenland Cove campground for the last four years, where he made many new friends and will be missed by all. He also had been working as an insurance adjuster during the last few years. He was very active in the community and his profession; serving as a Littleton selectman for many years, on various committees in Littleton and was a member of the Littleton Fire Department. He was also very active with the Maine Potato Board and as past president of the Agriculture Bargaining Council. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren at his camp in Haynesville. Gary is survived by his father “Pert” of Hodgdon; his wife, Lorraine (Prosser) Wilson of Littleton; four daughters, Kelly and Mark Rogers of Rochester, N.H, Heidi Wilson of Houlton, Jill and Blaine Lincoln of East Hodgdon, Kristy and Jim Brown, Joann (Benn) Wilson, all of Houlton; six grandchildren (who always put a smile on his face), Robert and Cole Rogers of Rochester, N.H, Craig and Caleb Lincoln of East Hodgon, Dana and Jamie Brown of Houlton; stepchildren, Kristie and Marty Fitzpatrick, Andy and Ann Wilde; stepgrandchildren, McKenna, Hayley, Caden Adam; nine brothers and sisters, Pam and Herb Rhoda of Oakland, Kenneth and Carol Wilson of Hodgdon, Cindy Wilson of Eddington, Wanda Cummings and Roger Wilson, both of Houlton, Debbie and Ken Rosel of Virginia, Reggie and Lauren Wilson, Lynn and Joel Oliver, Alan and Lisa Wilson all of Hodgdon; many nieces and nephews.
