MADAWASKA – Gaston Grandmaison, 74, died unexpectedly March 6, 2006, at an Edmundston, N.B., Canada hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1931, in Madawaska, the son of Edmund and Bertha (Dery) Grandmaison. He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen “Kate” Grandmaison of St. Luce, P.Q., Canada, Janice Grandmaison of Lauder Hill, Fla. and Karen Dumond of Nashua, N.H.; two brothers, Gil Grandmaison of Van Buren and Real Grandmaison of Pinellas Park, Fla.; two sisters, Marcella Carrier of Pinellas Park, Fla. and Nancy Cyr of Madawaska; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Cecile in 2002. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, at the St. David Church. Friends and relatives may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
