BELFAST – Geneva French, 85, passed away March 26, 2008, at Harbor Hill Nursing Home, Belfast. She was born Dec. 7, 1923, in Brooks, to Lewis and Martha “Page” Lanphier. She enjoyed many years with her special companion, David Flood Sr. of Belfast, who predeceased her. She enjoyed cooking, getting together with her family and her friends, company and reading. She is survived by one sister, Eliza Humphrey and husband, Percy, of Brooks; daughter-in-law, Margaret French; grandsons, Robert, David and wife, Dawn; granddaughter, Cheryl Lukowsky and husband, Rick, all of Maryland; son, Ronald and wife, Lillian, of Belfast; and granddaughters, Deborah Harnden and husband, Bill, of Waldo, Angela Dwelley and husband, John, of Florida. She also was survived by seven very special great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Harnden, Raymond Dwelly, Ashley and Jamie Lukowsky, Jarod and Ethen French; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to David Flood, she was predeceased by her eldest son, Lester; four brothers, Stanley, Lewis Jr., Galen and Edgar; and two sisters; Mildred Bragg and Louise Demos; as well as ex-husband, Alfred French. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
