BREWER – Geneva M. Kilby, 80, died April 21, 2006, at a Bar Harbor nursing facility. She was born Nov. 26, 1925, the oldest daughter of Freeman W. and Mildred (Administer) (Walker) Mayhew. One of the beloved stepdaughters of Frank Mayhew Sr. Jerry owned and operated Jerry’s Lunch in Brewer for a number of years and was a well-known waitress in many restaurants. She enjoyed playing cribbage, horse racing and collecting ink pens. She was a former member of the Eagles Club and the West Glenburn Community Club. Jerry is survived by her husband, Clint; three daughters, Cheryl and her husband, Randy DeHate, Cathy Burke, and Lori and her husband, Ralph Treadwell; two sons, Robert Burke and Galen and his wife, Faith Burke; five step-children, Bill, Jack, Lew, Larry and Joan; two sisters, Ada Boudreau and Mary and her husband, Dick Jones; one brother, Frank Mayhew Jr. and his wife, Dot; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, who lovingly called her GG. She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Roland, Harold and Galen Walker; and her first husband, Lewis Burke. A celebration of her life will be held 5 p.m. May 13, at her daughter Lori’s house, 157 Merryman Rd., Glenburn.
