PLYMOUTH, MASS. and JONESPORT – Genevieve Lamson passed away on Sept. 7, 2004, at Life Care Center in Plymouth, Mass. She was born March 15, 1913, in Jonesport, the daughter of Nettie and Bert Carver. She was a graduate of Jonesport High School. She was employed by Gillette’s Razor World in South Boston from where she retired in 1978. Previous jobs were at Keystone Camera, Carter’s Ink in Cambridge, Mass. and Raytheon in Quincy. Genevieve worked in Underwoods Factory in Jonesport, packing fish, prior to moving to Dorchester (Neponset). She was a member of the Sawyer Memorial Congregational Church in Jonesport where she taught Sunday School. She was predeceased by her son, Roger C. Lamson; and her husband, Elwin C. Lamson (Hickey) of Jonesport. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Grant and her husband, Arthur, of Columbia Falls, and Marie Cordeiro and her husband, Stanley, of Plymouth, Mass.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Sawyer Memorial Congregational Church, Jones-port with Pastor George Woodward officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cranberry Hospice, 275 Sandwich St., Plymouth, MA 02360. Arrangements are in the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias.
