ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – George F. Splane, 93, died Jan. 25, 2004, at Flagler Hospital. He was born March 24, 1910, in Worcester, Mass. Mr. Splane made his home in Portland for 48 years before moving to St. Augustine. He graduated from Commerce High School and attended the University of Maine. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Cecilia Bernier Splane of St. Augustine, Fla.; daughter of Marylou Wragg of St. Augustine; son, George Splane of Bangor; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Colin Wragg; two sisters, Madeline Monahan and Rita Hanlon of West Boyleston and Auburn, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Seamus O’Flynn, pastor, officiating. Craig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
