ELLSWORTH – George Raymond Partridge, 87, died Dec. 14, 2007, at an Ellsworth health care facility. He was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Hancock, the son of Raymond D. and Gladys (Rich) Partridge. George was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an architectural inspector for Alonzo Harriman for many years. George loved training and hunting with his Chesapeake Retrievers, as well as fly-fishing. He was a member of the David A. Hooper Masonic Lodge No. 201, Sullivan. He is survived by his daughters, Jane Piper and husband, Jasie, of Hancock, and Bonnie Wescott and husband, Charles, of Gouldsboro; grandchildren, James Piper, Mark Piper, Renee Harriet, Charles Wescott III and Heidi Harmon; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Norma, Aug. 25, 2007. A Masonic service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
