PLEASANT POINT, PERRY and EUSTIS – Georgia Mae Mitchell, 64, passed away Sept. 7, 2006, in McMinnville, Ore., after a tough battle with cancer. Georgia was born Dec. 3, 1941, in a blizzard. Her parents were the late Margaret M. Socoby and Anthony J. Mitchell. She was a proud Passamaquoddy Tribal member. She was the loving mother of Susie “Mitchell” Sutton of Oregon; brother, Dale Mitchell of Pleasant Point, Perry; sisters, Jessica Burby of Hampton Beach, Mass., Priscilla Bassett and Sheila Houle of Old Town; son-in-law, Butch Sutton of Oregon; grandsons, Peter Mitchell and Tony Sutton of Oregon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends. Granddaughter, Heather Sutton of California predeceased her. Memorial service will be held 10:45 a.m. Sept. 24, at the St. Ann’s Church, Pleasant Point, Perry, with a celebration of life after the service at Dale and Brenda’s house, Pleasant Point, Perry.
