BANGOR and NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Gerald F. Kirkwood died March 31, 2008, at Togus VA Hospital. He was born Jan. 9, 1949, to Helen and Cody Kirkwood of Lake George, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Gerald is survived by four sons, Jerry Jr., James and Brenda, Michael and Sara, and Chris and Gabriela; three bro-thers, Dennis Lockwood, Dan-ny Sprague and Chris Sprague; sisters, Linda Albert, Annie King, Elaine Neilander, Amber Young, Cindy Jones and Phy-llis Wolf; two grandchildren, Luis and Lauren Michelle; ex-wife, Carol Kirkwood; mother, Virginia Sprague; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Timothy Lockwood. Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Ellingwood Corner United Methodist Church, Winterport, with Pastor Langbein officiating.
