BREWER – Gerald Joseph Baker, 65, died May 26, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1940, in Ashland, son of William and Cecile (Boulier) Baker. Gerry had been employed as a machinist at General Electric for 30 years. Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Judith Ann (Bronson) Baker of Brewer; four children, Mildred Preble, Gerald J. Baker Jr., Susan Novak and Alan Baker, all of Brewer; three grandchildren, Paul A. Preble, Sarah Preble and Bronson Novak; a great-grandson on the way; four brothers, Raynold Baker, Gene Baker, Danny Baker and Mike Baker; four sisters, Deloras Stevenson, Sally Zambona, Diane Baker and Lorraine Baker, many nieces, nephews and his beloved pet, “J.” Friends may call 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, Chaplain of St. Joseph Hospital, Bangor, officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
