MILLADORE, Wis. – Gerald M. Sullivan, 82, of 2167 County Rd. N., Milladore died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at his residence. Gerald was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Sinnet, Saskatchewan, Canada, to James and Margaret (Trudeau) Sullivan. He was united in marriage to Joyce J. Heggmark, July 14, 1945, in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 14, 1995, with many family and friends in Milladore. She died July 15, 2003. Gerry enjoyed spending time with his family. He had frequent visitors to his Milladore farm from all over the United States and Canada. Gerry was a master electrician and project manager on many large scale construction projects from Michigan to California. He was a member of the IBEW Local No. 388. Gerry proudly served as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. He witnessed the mobilization for the D-Day Invasion as he flew over the English Channel on a training mission. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 468 of Milladore. In his youth, Gerry played hockey for the Flin Flon Bombers in Flin Flon, Manitoba. He coached and refereed after he came home from the war. Gerry and his wife, Joyce, of 58 years, were hobby farmers and raised and cared for many animals. The favorite of which where Midnight the horse and Duster the faithful hunting companion. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and traveling in his RV. He was also an avid gardener. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia M. (David Swartz) Sullivan, of Port Edwards and Sheryl A. (James Raczek) Winchester of Bangor; four grandchildren, Catlin L. Swartz of Marshfield, Erin J. Sullivan of Freemont, Calif., Amy K. (Trevor Dodman) Winchester of Watertown, Mass. and Nicholas A. (Emily Davenport) Winchester of Hampden, along with three great-grand-children, McKenzie M. and Alexandria N. Winchester, both of Hampden and Vera Winchester Dodman of Watertown, Mass. He is further survived by a brother, Clarence (Margie) Sullivan, of Cortes Island, B.C., Canada. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joyce; two sons, Daniel T. and Terrance P. Sullivan; three brothers, Lenny, Patrick and Earl Sullivan. He will be sadly missed by his family and his many, many friends. Visitations were held 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Martens/Kundinger in Junction City with burial being held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Milladore. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the American Legion Post No. 468 of Milladore.
