MEDINA, N.Y. – Geraldine L. (Alexander) Coppola, 79, passed away Aug. 1, 2006, at Buffalo General Hospital after a short illness. She was born June 24, 1927, in Hudson, the daughter of the late Lee and Arlene (Davis) Alexander. She is survived by a son, Gary and his wife, Judy Coppola, of Lockport, N.Y.; six brothers and sisters, Lee and his wife, Mae Alexander, Joyce Karp, Irene and her husband, Bruce Hastey, Lois Ann and her husband, Melvin Knowles, all of Glenburn, Artie and his wife, Patsy Alexander and Mildred Kinens, all of Hudson; three grandchildren, Anthony and Stephanie Coppola of Lockport, N.Y. and Christopher and his wife, Karyn Coppola, of Buffalo, N.Y., a great-grandson, Chaz; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James Lee Coppola. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, N.Y., where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, with the Rev. James Maxwell officiating. Burial will be at Boxwood Cemetery, Medina, N.Y. Memorials may be made in Geraldine’s name to the American Heart Association, 2113 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624.
