VAN BUREN – Gerard J. Voisine, 87, died Feb. 8, 2006, at a Caribou hospital. He was born in Fort Kent, April 20, 1918, the son of Joseph and Edith (Dumond) Voisine. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion, Levasseur-Farrell Post 49 of Van Buren. He was employed in the dry cleaning industry for Beaulieu Dry Cleaning in Van Buren for 22 years. He also worked for SAD No. 24 in Van Buren for several years until his retirement. Mr. Voisine is survived by three sons, Patrick Voisine of De Kalb Ill., Raynald Voisine of Van Buren and Brian Voisine of Hallandale, Fla.; three daughters, Janice Gereben and her husband, Balazs, of Van Buren, Tina Voisine-Beem and her husband, Dana, of Windham, Lynn Voisine and her husband, Fernand Nadeau, of Waterville; one sister, Blanche McClean of Stratford, Conn.; five grandchildren, Brittany, Patrick and Alexis Gereben, Madeliene and Riley Beem. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmel (Beaulieu) Voisine in 1994. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
