ORLAND – Gerold P. Bouchard, 48, passed away peacefully Sept. 24, 2007, surrounded by his family, at his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born Jan. 30, 1959, in Castine, the son of Patrick G. Bouchard and the late Nancy Ann (French) Bouchard. He graduated from Bucksport High School, Class of 1977. Gerold was a welder by trade, which took him to many parts of the world. In 2006 he and his wife, Janet, moved back from Panama City, Fla., where they had been for the last 10 years, leaving behind numerous friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping, rebuilding cars, spending time with his family and friends and his special pet, Bubba the bird. He is survived by his father; loving wife of 15 years, Janet L. (Seger) Bouchard; sister, Kathy Small and her husband, Keith; brother, Timothy Bouchard; three sons, Christian Bouchard and his fianc?e, Renee’, Joseph Bouchard and his wife, Mitchelle, and Ricky Robshaw and his wife, Sara; one daughter, Kim Sanborn and her husband, David; four grandchildren, Aidan, Skyler, Samantha and Heather; and two special nephews, Jereme and Adam Ashmore; mother-in-law, Ola Wilson and her husband, John; sister-in-law, Judy Pehrson and her husband, Dennis; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by Bea Bouchard, Jacky and Shorty Wade. The family gives many thanks to CancerCare of Maine, Hancock County Homecare & Hospice and to Ed at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home.
