GRAND LAKE STREAM – Jarrod Roy Damon, 35, died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident. Jarrod was born June 20, 1972, in Calais, son of Roy Damon and Maxine Palmeter. He was employed with Maine Department of Transportation. Jarrod married Amy Bailey in Princeton, Feb. 15, 1997. He was a member of the Princeton Rod & Gun Club and a lifetime member of B.A.S.S. Jarrod enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing guitar and singing. Many times he could be found riding the back roads and mudding in the mud truck. Jarrod’s most precious moments were spent with his wife, children, family and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Willis “Billy” Damon; maternal grandparents, Curtis and Roberta Palmeter; and a cousin, Jessica Kelley. Surviving are his loving wife, Amy of Grand Lake Stream; his two children, Bailey Marie Damon and Willis “Billy” Damon; his father, Roy Damon and his companion, Sandra Draper-Hayward, of Calais; his mother, Maxine Palmeter of Meddybemps; a sister, Jean Voelker and her husband, Eric, of Hampden; paternal grandmother, Ruth Damon of Princeton; mother and father-in-law, Harry and Sandra Bailey of Grand Lake Stream; sister-in-law, Beth Ward and her husband, Wendall, of Belfast; special niece and nephews, Leah, Cote and Curtis; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and extended family; his special friends, Shawn and Todd; and his faithful canine companion, Jesse. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
