HODGDON – Gertrude “Bunny” Adele Griffin, 75, died June 18, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born April 18, 1932, in Houlton, the daughter of Carl W. and Lucille N. (Quint) Mason. Bunny was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Church, the RCIA Board, the church choir, a Eucharistic minister and a volunteer at Good as New. She served on the board of directors of Aroostook Area Agency on Aging and helped deliver Meals on Wheels. Her nursing career was working with Drs. Madigan, Sussman and Abouleish. Her joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Bunny is survived by her husband, Daniel F. Griffin of Hodgdon; five sons, Dennis Griffin and his special friend, Louise Perry, of Auburn, James Griffin and his wife, Brenda, of Hodgdon, Jeffery Griffin and his wife, Annette, of Hampstead, N.H., Steve Griffin and his wife, Carla, of Houlton and Douglas Griffin and his wife, Tammy, of Hodgdon; one daughter, Cathy McSweeney and her husband, Jack, of Andover, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Betty Mic-haud; sister-in-law, Shirley (Shay) Mason; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Charles Mason; and her brother-in-law, Francis Michaud. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Visitation Church. Interment will be at Hodgdon Cemetery.
