VAN BUREN – Gertrude Dumond, 92, died Sept. 15, 2007, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born Feb. 6, 1915, in Van Buren, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Levasseur) Dumond. She was educated in local schools and was a 1933 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Gertrude worked for many years as a department store clerk for W.T. Grant Co., Van Buren. She is survived by one niece, Geneva Gagnon of Van Buren; three nephews, Ronald Gagnon of Fort Fairfield, Richard Gagnon of Van Buren and John Paul Gagnon of West Hartford, Conn. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church.
