FORT KENT – Gilbert Deprey, 79, died June 9, 2008, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born July 26, 1928, in Wallagrass, the son of Auguste and Marie Deprey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Sylvia (Caron) Deprey of Fort Kent; five children, Don and his wife, Claire Deprey and children, Brad Deprey and Bev Cote, of Fort Kent, Rod and his wife, Kathy Deprey and son, Peter, of Atlanta, Janice Madore of Fort Kent and son, Shawn Madore and daughter, Tracy Gervais, Brian and his wife, Chance Deprey and daughter, Katie; stepdaughter, Val; two stepsons, Jason and Douglas, all of Presque Isle; daughter, Peggy and her husband, Greg Willard, and daughters, Kelly and Kristen, of Bangor; and five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Stella and her husband, Clarence Dubois, of Fort Kent, Bernice and her husband, Norman Pelletier, of Norwich, Conn., and Jacqueline Caron of Bristol, Conn.; five brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by two children, Lisa and Kevin; nine brothers and sisters, Margaret Chasse, Marie Labonte, Jeannette Lizotte, Rolande Voisine, Roland, Louis, Norman, Richard and Al “Ludger”; also by a brother-in-law on the Caron side. Friends may call 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Assembly of God Church, Frenchville Road. Graveside service will be held after at Holy Family Cemetery, Daigle. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Forest Hill Manor Activities Fund, 25 Bolduc Ave., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
