KENDUSKEAG – Gilbert H. Pelletier, 81, the husband of Ramona (Davis) Pelletier, died Sept. 24, 2007, at a Bangor hospital, after a short illness. He was born June 28, 1926, in Berlin, N.H., the son of Henry and Albertine (Paradis) Pelletier. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He operated a logging truck on the West Coast in his early years and moved to Kenduskeag, 46 years ago. He worked as a crane operator for Eastern Fine Paper, Brewer, for 20 years and was employed as a locksmith at Eastern Maine Medical Center for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member and past master of the Kenduskeag Masonic Lodge, Kenduskeag, and a member of the Anah Temple Shrine. He was a member of the Eagles Club No. 3117 of Brewer, and was an active hunter and fisherman. He will be especially missed at Bangor-Brewer Bowling Lanes, which he frequented for more than 30 years. Surviving in addition to his wife of 55 years, are three children, Lorri Hasey and her husband, Robin, of Corinth, Davis G. Pelletier and his fianc?e, Wendi O’Bar, of Newburgh, and Jayne Pelletier of Newburgh; a granddaughter, Michelle Antone and her husband, Derick, of Orrington; a grandson, Richard Loring Jr. of Old Town; a great-grandson, Brenden Antone of Orrington; a brother, Paul Richard Pelletier of Wildwood, Fla.; and a sister, Gertrude Lacey of Clovis, N.M. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, where a Masonic memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. by Kenduskeag Lodge. Funeral ser-vices will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Cynthia Nickerson officiating. After cremation, the remains will be buried at Kenduskeag Cemetery.
