MILBRIDGE – Gilford R. Bagley passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, after a long illness at the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 10, 1941, in Harrington, the son of Clarence V. and Hazel E. Robinson Bagley. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlene E. Oakes Bagley; his daughter, Dina Marie Bradbury and her mate, Randy Webber, of Lewiston; his devoted mother, Hazel Bagley of Milbridge; sister, Betty Grant and her husband, Roger, of Columbia; a brother, Rudy Bagley and his wife, Alice, of Hancock; four grandchildren, who lit up his life, Candy Marie and Daniel Bradbury and Danielle and Roger Bagley, all of Milbridge; several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He will be remembered by special friends, Clint Grant, Timmy Bagley, Alan Burgess, Lewis Dorr Jr., Pat Beal, Leigh Burgess and Dennis Colson. Gilford enjoyed working with his son, Richard L. Bagley at Downeast Construction and he owned and operated G. R. Bagley Trucking. He was a member of the Milbridge Church of Christ. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 at Milbridge Church of Christ on Route 1A where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 with Owen Beal officiating. Interment will be in Wilson/Bagley Cemetery on Ray’s Point, Milbridge. Memorial gifts may be sent to Rudy Bagley, P.O. Box 64, Hancock, ME 04640.
