OLD TOWN – Gladys L. “Bunny” Henderson, 71, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, surrounded by her family at a Bangor hospital following a brief illness. She was born Nov. 2, 1932, in Old Town, the daughter of the late Paul E. and Gladys L. (Gonyar) Thibodeau. Bunny attended Old Town schools and was a graduate of Old Town High School the class of 1952. She was a homemaker throughout the adolescence of her five children and was proud to say that her most important job was raising her children and family. Bunny was instrumental in developing and supporting the Old Town Youth Hockey program. She was also a strong supporter of the Old Town swim teams. Bunny served on the Curriculum Planning board for the Old Town school board and worked for J.C. Penny, for 13 years, retiring in 1998. She adored raising the several dogs that she had over the years. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Ron of 51 years; three daughters, Deborah Henderson and her fianc?, Scott Gurney, of China Lake, Catherine and her husband, Peter Gaetani, of Old Town, Ronda and her husband, David Paradis, of Reading, Mass.; two sons, Chris Henderson and his wife, Paula, of Concord, N.H., John Henderson and his wife, Kimberly, of Old Town; 13 grandchildren, Christopher Henderson, Jennifer Parker, Erin Ford, Justin Gaetani, Julia, Jacqueline, Danielle and Katherine Paradis, Jessi, Katie and Jon Henderson, Jillian and Garrett Henderson; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alex, and Benjamin Henderson and Kohle Parker; sister, Geneva McNeally; four brothers, Lester, Edward, Ray, and Robert Thibodeau. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Ellen, Regina, Margaret; and one brother, Harold. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Parish in Old Town with the Rev. Normand Richard celebrant. Committal will be held at Lawndale Cemetery in Old Town immediately following the service. Friends and family are invited to the Holy Family Parish Hall following the burial for a luncheon and continued fellowship.
