ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt., and CORINNA – Gladys I. Ouellette, 76, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at a Lyndonville (Vt.) Rehab and Living Center. She was born June 29, 1931, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Orlo and Margaret (Kennedy) Nye Sr. She is survived by her children, Sue (Ouellette) Maher and her husband, Greg, of Dixmont, Lori (Ouellette) Maher and her husband, Jim, of Newport, Cecile (Ouellette) Buckland and her husband, Vic, of Newport, Bob Ouellette of Grand Junction, Colo., Ed Ouellette of Parachute, Colo., and Jackie Ouellette-Keene and her husband, Bernie, of Hampden; grandchildren, Mike Buckland and Bridgit (Buckland) Cayer; sisters, Alberta Nelson, and Edith and husband, Rick Zajak; brothers, Orlo and wife, Charlotte Nye Jr., Gerald Nye, Philip and wife, Diane Nye, and Donald and wife, Mary Nye; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Phyllis; and brother, Clarence. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Carol; and a granddaughter, Riley. The family takes comfort in knowing that the three are now all together. The family also greatly appreciated the special people who visited her often and kept her spirits high over the past few months. She always held in her heart fond memories of Francis Ouellette.
