LIMESTONE and HILLSBORO, Ohio – Mary Gaetane Mitchell, 73, of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of Limestone, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Highland District Hospital. She was born May 27, 1934, in St. Anne, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Louis and Rosanna LaForge Johndro. She was a military housewife that was very active in her children’s activities and had been a member of St. Louis Catholic Parish, Limestone. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ralph Waldo Mitchell, to whom she was married Nov. 3, 1951, in Limestone; daughter, Lori and her husband, Eric Goldsmith, of New Vienna; three sons, David Scott Mitchell and his wife, Lougenia, of Las Cruces, N.M., Mitch Mitchell and his wife, Cindy, of New York, and Wayne Mitchell of Hillsboro, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Janice Mitchell of Bangor; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, five siblings, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Robert Dana Mitchell; and an infant son, Michael Mitchell. A celebration of Mary’s life will take place 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou.
