BANGOR – Gladys Mechura, 79, died peacefully Jan. 8, 2007, surrounded by family. She was born Jan. 13, 1927, in St. Jones Within, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, the daughter of Allan and Maud (King) Tucker. She is survived by seven brothers and sisters, Silas and Patricia of Ontario, Jack and Marion, David and Geneva, Oliver and Janet, Norma and Everett Vey, all of Newfoundland, Cynthia and Tom Hogan and Mary Bentley, all of Ontario. She was the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by many friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Ruby. Interment and memorial services will be held in St. Jones Within, Newfoundland, in the summer. Gifts in her memory may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
