BANGOR and HOWLAND Gladys R. Kilby, 73, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at a Howland nursing facility. She was born July 23, 1935, in Orono, the daughter of George B. and Gladys M. (Thorne) Morrison. Gladys will be remembered as very family oriented as she was a homemaker, a loving mother, and a Grammy who was always there. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery and the simple things in life. Gladys was also an avid Red Sox fan. She is survived and will be missed by two sons, Michael J. Kilby of Bangor and Brian K. Kilby of Manchester, N.H.; two daughters, Gloria J. Walker and Patricia L. Burke, both of Bangor, two sisters, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grand-children, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and six sisters. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
