SMYRNA – Betty LaCharite, 69, died Dec. 5, 2007, surrounded by her family, in Bangor. She was born April 24, 1938, in Oakfield, the daughter of Warren and Marjorie (McGraw) Tarr. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Norman LaCharite of Smyrna; three children, Bernard Goodall and his companion, Lynn Russell, of Farmington, Norman LaCharite II and his companion, Lee-Anne VanBruchen, of Island Falls, and Norma Jean and her husband, Chris Cummings, of Stacyville; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marion Bowley of Rhode Island, Paul Tarr of Oakfield, James Tarr of Smyrna, Diana Young of Alabama, Warren Tarr Jr. of Connecticut, Marjorie Casey of Oakfield and Linda Morton of Crystal; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; one son, Roger; one grandson, Scott; and one brother, Sterling. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Penticostal Church, Oakfield, with Pastor Sterling Lawrence officiating. Spring interment will be at Island Falls Cemetery.
