HOULTON – Glana O. Rodgerson, 85, wife of the late Raymond H. Rodgerson, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Houlton Regional Hospital. She was the third born of five children to Coe and Lois Toothaker of Rangeley. She was a member of Shiretown Baptist Church. Her faith in God, love of family and friends, hospitable, generous, joyous nature blessed all who knew her. Despite vision limitations over the past several years, she wrote more than 500 pages of her autobiography, “Pilgrim’s Journey” and this will be a lasting legacy for generations to come. For several years, she was a cook/baker in area nursing homes and service centers. She was also a homemaker to elderly people. She was predeceased by a son, Perry; two sisters and one brother, Gwen, Hilda and Coe; two grandsons and one great-grandson. She will be greatly missed by her 10 children, Phillip and his wife, Leila, of Florida, Lois and her husband, Bob, of South Carolina, Paul and his wife, Vicki, of Michigan, Rebecca and her husband, Jim, of Indiana, Joanne and her husband, Maynard, of Missouri, Ruth and her husband, Frank, of Maine, Raymond and his wife, Sherri, of Missouri, Elizabeth of Maine, Rachel and her husband, Gerry, of Maine and Timothy and his wife, Wendy, of Maine; one brother, Roe Toothaker of Sabattus; 32 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren as well as extended family members. Friends are invited to visit 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton where a service of remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 2, with the Rev. James Gardner, pastor of Shiretown Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. A reception to celebrate Glana’s homegoing will be at Shiretown Baptist Church after the interment.
