MONTICELLO and HOULTON – Glenna Mae (Wasson) Bailey, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Aug. 2, 2008. She was born February 1915, in Bloomfield, New Brunswick, the eldest daughter of Andrew and Lona (Folsom) Wasson. She moved to Monticello as a small child and lived there until 1989, when she moved to Littleton and later to Houlton. She married Amos O. Bailey of Monticello, May 6, 1931. She worked several years in the local potato fields before working at Aroostook Hospital and Ricker College cafeteria. She attended Monticello Pentecostal Church for many years until her health prevented it. She is survived by her daughter, Ione Rush and her husband, Alan, of Dover-Foxcroft; six grandchildren, Donna Shrout and husband, Michael, of Ludlow, Jerry Rush and fiancee, Nancy Richards, of Dexter, Jill (Rush) Koenig and husband, Gary, of Gray, Garth G. Bailey of Oakfield, Kevin Bailey of Cape Coral, Fla., and Jane (Bailey) Thibeau and husband, Rick, of Cumberland Center; 14 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Marjorie (Bailey) Rush and her husband, Almon, of Houlton; one stepbrother, Gene Cullins and wife, Norma, of Vermont; a stepsister, Jennie Holmes of Virginia; a daughter-in-law, LaVersa Bailey of Westbrook; a brother-in-law, Herbie Evans and his wife, Edna, of Levant; several nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Amos; a son, Garth A. Bailey; six sisters, infant baby, Mae Wasson, Minnie Bailey, Theodosia Craig, Alice Colter, Gladys Evans and Dorothy Carr; one granddaughter, Karen Lynn Fitzgerald; one stepbrother, Raymond Cullins. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Aug. 5 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Monticello Cemetery.
