HUDSON – Gloria Faye Bubar, wife of the late Benjamin Bubar, died Feb. 25, 2004, at her residence in Hudson. She was born Dec. 6, 1935, in Milford, the daughter of Ralph and Ethelyn (Smith) Thurston. She is survived by five sons, Larry, Leland, Scott and Wendell Braley, all of Hudson, Timmy Braley of Milford; a brother, Ralph Thurston of Old Town; four sisters, Norma of Hudson, Maxine of Olamon, Phyllis of Summit, N.J., Janice of Rochester, N.H.; and eight grandchildren, Yolanda, Corey, Danielle, Richard, Shandi, Michael, Shawn and Ryan. Gloria was predeceased by a son, Danny Braley; and two sisters, Melva and Doris. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of the Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Hudson Cemetery, Hudson.
