PITTSFIELD – Gloria J. Tozier, 57, passed away at her residence March 22, 2005, after a short battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 20, 1947, in Hartland, the daughter of Donald C. Greene Sr. and Margaret “Ruth” (Monk) Greene. She attended Newport High, graduating in the Class of 1965. She married James Tozier in 1966 in Corinna. She worked for Merrill Bank as a teller, Bank of Maine/Norstar as a teller, and she worked for Skowhegan Savings Bank as Head Teller for more than 15 years and later became manager for one year before retiring in 1998. She had taken many nursing, real estate, and banking courses over the years. Her greatest joys in life were her girls and her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, bowling, flowers, crocheting, crafts, shopping, being in her swing, her bunny collection and especially enjoyed being in her home. She is survived by her husband, James, of more than 39 years; two daughters, Cindy Higgins and her husband, Daniel, and Stephanie Tozier and special friend, Brian Knight; two grandchildren, Courtney and Sean, all of Pittsfield; three brothers, Donald Greene and his companion, Karen Bubar of Newport, Ronald Greene of Etna, David Greene and his companion, Nancy Lane, of Plymouth; two sisters, Sharon Littlefield and her husband, Michael, of Guilford, Bonnie Davis and her husband, Bruce, of Plymouth; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Sally Smith and her parents. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2005, at Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield, with a funeral service being held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the First Baptist Church, South Main Street, Pittsfield, with the Rev.
