BROOKSVILLE – Gloria Marie Tapley, 67, passed away April 14, 2005, at a Blue Hill hospital. She was born Nov. 17, 1937, in Blue Hill, the daughter of James and Abigail (Gray) Astbury. Gloria enjoyed reading, yard sales, puzzles and her gardens. She is survived by her husband, Paul; sons, Christopher and wife, Patricia, of Gulfport, Miss., Thomas of Brooksville, Gregory and wife, Melissa, of Bucksport, Perry and companion, Mandy Briggs, of Sullivan; daughters, Susan and husband, Andy Gray, of Sedgwick, Sandra and fianc?, Matt Slater, of Brooksville, Irene and husband, Wayne Dyer, of Sedgwick; brothers, Virgil of Blue Hill, Steve and Clayton, both of Sedgwick; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Martin, Lisa, Nathan, Felicia, Jeanne, Beau, Donald, Kaitlyn, Travis, Ethan and Ashley; a special niece, Claudette. She was predeceased by her parents, a son, Billy; two brothers, two sisters and a grandson, Jason. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2005, at Mt. Rest Cemetery, Brooksville. Contributions in Gloria’s memory may be sent to the Ark Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 276, Cherryfield. Arrangements under the care of Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill.
