LEVANT and BREWER – Roland W. “Spin” Eldridge, 76, died April 14, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Brewer the son of Winfield and Elizabeth (Fornier) Eldridge. Roland was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing with his friends, the Red Sox, and his work. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor (Lawson) Eldridge of Levant; six children, Gerald W. Eldridge of Dedham, Jennifer and her husband, Marc Boilard, of Saco, Vicki and her husband, Kenneth Schnarrs, of Biloxi, Miss., Robert Eldridge and his wife, Lisa, of Florida, Christina Cammack of Mattawamkeag, Roger Eldridge of Levant; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth and Lawrence Eldridge; two sisters, Doris Ellis and Deanna Ward, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Marlene. Friends may call from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, with the Rev. Clayton Blackstone, officiating. Spring interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
