BAILEYVILLE – Gordon A. Mahan, 39, died unexpectedly June 22, 2004, at his home. He was born in Jonesport, Dec. 7, 1964, the son of Richard and Linda (Higgins) Mahan. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a self employed Licensed Real Estate Appraiser. Surviving in addition to his parents of Big Lake are his wife, Sherri (Mitchell) Mahan of Baileyville; two sons, Richard C. Mahan III of Baileyville, and Timothy Lee and family of Montana; three sisters, Vicky (Mahan) Seaber and her husband, Bucky, of Miami, Fla., Elizabeth (Mahan) Bartlett and her husband, Mike and family of Baring, and his twin sister, Teresa Mahan of Hollis; one brother, Rick Mahan and his wife, Mary and family of New Hampshire; maternal grandmother, Margaret Higgins of Holden, paternal grandmother, Inez Grant of Columbia; several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Private services for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make donations in Gordon’s Memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA. 01104. Arrangements are by the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home of Calais.
