MILBRIDGE – Gordon D. Strout, 81, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at a Milbridge healthcare facility. He was born May 28, 1922, in Milbridge, the son of Albion and Ethel (Strout) Strout. Gordon spent his life lobster fishing, working in weirs and being a general handyman around Milbridge. He is survived by a sister, Julia Smith of Ellsworth; a special friend, Wayne Bradbury of Milbridge; the staff at Millett’s Store in Milbridge and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gordon was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Nelson and Alberta Strout; and five brothers, Hollis, Clyde, Adrien, Edward and Jasper Strout. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Ambrose Rolfe officiating. Spring interment will be at Rock Maple Cemetery, Harrington.
