DANFORTH and CABOOL, MO. – Guy Edmund Ellingwood Sr., 72, husband of the late Carolyn (Allen) Ellingwood, died Dec. 31, 2004, at his home in Cabool, Mo. He was born April 26, 1932, in Glenburn, the son of Guy and Vivian (Alexander) Ellingwood. Guy was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 101st Airborne Division. He had been a member of the Danforth Volunteer Fire Department for 14 years, served as deputy sheriff for Aroostook County for nine years, and was a truck driver for Steel Stone for many years. He is survived by two sons, Guy Jr. of Cabool, Mo. and Reginald of Machias; two grandsons, Guy III and Jonas Ellingwood; two brothers, three sisters, two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, two sisters, and a sister-in-law. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. An American Legion and Fire Department service will follow at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Root officiating.
