PERRY – Harold Arthur Hawkes IV, 35, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident. Harold was born April 4, 1971, in Stoneham, Mass. He was a student at Washington County Community College where he was studying welding, and employed at Johnson’s True Value. Harold married Jill Humphries Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at Gleason’s Cove, Perry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children and family. Harold was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, George Thompson. Surviving are his wife, Jill Hawkes; his parents, Harold and Jane (Thompson) Hawkes III of Charlotte; two children, Harold Hawkes V and Kaitlyn Hawkes of Perry and Charlotte; two stepchildren, James Brown of Bangor and Janelle Pottle of Perry; a brother, Christopher Hawkes and wife, Kimberly, of Charleston; paternal grandparents Harold and Claire Hawkes Jr. of Tewksbury, Mass.; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Thompson of Calais; two nieces, Amanda and Alayna Hawkes; a nephew, Ryley Hawkes; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Driscoll of Yarmouth and Joyce Humphries of Seattle; a very special aunt, Dotti of La Mesa, Calif.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call starting 7 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Thursday, at his home 376 South Meadow Road, Perry. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Round Pond Cemetery with Pastor Colin Windhorst officiating.
