NORTH AMITY – Harold D. Lindsay, 68, died Aug. 17, 2005, at his residence. He was born April 27, 1937, at New Limerick, the son of Ralph S. Sr. and Helen (Grant) Lindsay. Harold attended Amity Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and Vietnam War, retiring after 21 years. After the service, he drove long-haul trucks for Timberland Transportation and later for Smith & Wesson until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Alice (Knapp) Lindsay of North Amity; one son, Chris Lindsay and his wife, Erin, of Rockland; four daughters, Karen Wade and her husband, Terry, of Monticello, Wanda Lindsay of Houlton, Sandra Tidd and her husband, Rick, of Hodgdon, Kelly McLaughlin and her husband, Tony, of Bangor; five grandchildren Mathew and Melissa Tidd, Eric, Taylor Lindsay and Joshua McLaughlin; one great-granddaughter, Serrinna Tidd; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph Lindsay Jr.; his sister, Jacklyn Ward; and two granddaughters, Alicia P. Dudzinski and Jessica Lindsay. Friends may call Friday, 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home, with Pastor Reggie Corey officiating. Interment will be in the North Amity Cemetery.
