ORRINGTON – Harold L. LeClair Jr., 63, died Sept. 27, 2004, at his residence. He was born Oct. 4, 1940, in Orono, the son of Harold L. and Elzora (Wing) LeClair. Harold served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was very involved with the Cub Scouts, coached Little-League in Orono, helped form the Boosters Club of Orono High School, assisted with the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, and was a Judge at many track meets. Harold was a member of the East Orrington Congregational Church and the American Legion Post No. 84 in Orono. He worked on the grounds crew of the Penobscot Valley Golf Course for many years and more recently enjoyed being a driver for Hertz. His family will sadly miss him and his early morning coffee and paper. He is survived by two sons, Timothy P. Work of Brunswick, Sonny LeClair, and wife, Barbette, of Orrington; two daughters, Cristol Wickett and husband, Terry, of Alton, Diane Vinal and husband, Emile, of Orono; four sisters, Mina Burr, and husband, Paul, of Bowdoin, Lorraine Tuck and husband, Dick, of Eddington, Carol Ouellette and husband, Milton, of Lincoln, Shirley Bouchard and husband, Asa, of Augusta; a brother, Andrew LeClair and wife, Laurie, of Argyle; 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Carla, Alicia, Katrina, Travis, Lisa, Matthew, Elizabeth, Danielle, Bridget, Zachary; four great-grandchildren, Jia-Xi, Liang-Kang, Austin, Bjorn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of 42 years, Doris E. LeClair, on July 11, 2004; and a great-grandson, Caden Beal. A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Adam Soderberg, pastor of the East Orrington Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Orono United Methodist Church, 36 Oak St., following the interment.
